2005 Terra Nova Test Scores by
Grade Holy Trinity students are tested in grades 1–8 and the Archdiocese has chosen Terra Nova, The Second Edition Plus which tests the five main content areas of Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, five sub tests - word analysis, vocabulary, language mechanics, spelling and mathematics computation are also given. Grades 3, 5, and 7 are given a multiple assessment test. Constructed response items on these tests require students to create their own answers by writing a paragraph, or drawing a graph or model. The following graphs show Holy Trinity Interparochial School’s average performance in comparison to the national performance. Ninety-six percent of the school’s average score is above the Moderate Mastery Range indicating a school-wide high degree of mastery.
