Mountainside, NJ Campus
Mission
The Mountainside Campus of Holy Trinity Interparochial
School offers full day kindergarten and half-day PreK
classes providing a warm, nurturing environment for the
youngest students. By the end of their kindergarten year the
children are prepared to move to our Westfield Campus for
first through eighth grades.
Programs
PreK-4, PreK-3, and 2 ½ Year
Olds
The preschool classes provide the students with an age
appropriate setting that enables the children to develop at
their own pace. All aspects of a child’s development are
addressed through a rich and varied program. We respond to
students’ spiritual, physical, cognitive, social, and
emotional needs through a multi-sensory, hands-on approach.
Kindergarten
The Archdiocese of Newark Early Childhood Guidelines were
followed in developing a rich curriculum. It meets the needs
of each individual child, incorporating their previous
experiences into our kindergarten program. The focus is on
developing readiness skills and fostering a strong learning
environment. The kindergartens provide the students with an
introduction to formal instruction and an opportunity to
learn, explore and develop their abilities.
Extended Care
Kindergarten Before Care is available form 7:15 to 8:45am
and after care, 2:30 to 5:45pm. On half days, care will be
available from 12:00 to 5:45, if there are at least three
students registered. Mrs. Mary Ropars is the before care
supervisor and Ms. Meurice Lake and Miss Dina West are
the after care supervisors, caring for the students on
alternate days. The program includes outdoor activities,
arts and crafts, literature and plenty of large motor
activities and games. The children will have access to
activities in the library, the auditorium and outside on the
school grounds and the adjacent playgrounds. Children are
