Early Chilhood Program
The Holy Trinity Interparochial School Mountainside Campus provides the youngest members of the community with an age-appropriate Catholic program supporting the spiritual, academic, emotional and physical needs of each student. The educational needs of the students are met through a curriculum devised to develop the individual strengths of each student, while simultaneously developing the skills necessary for a successful school career. The PreK curriculum emphasizes language development, reading and math readiness skills, and social development through a center based play environment. Experiential learning continues into the kindergarten; where a balanced approach of center based learning, direct instruction and child centered activities provide an environment allowing each child to develop to their highest potential.
PreK-4 Plus, PreK-4, PreK-3, and 2½ Year Olds
The preschool classes provide the students with an age appropriate setting
that enables the children to develop at their own pace. All aspects of a
child?s development are addressed through a rich and varied program. We
respond to the students? spiritual, physical, cognitive, social, and
emotional needs through a multi-sensory, hands-on approach.
Kindergarten
The Archdiocese of Newark Early Childhood Guidelines are followed in developing
a rich curriculum. It meets the needs of each individual child, incorporating
their previous experiences into our kindergarten program. The focus is on
developing readiness skills and fostering a strong learning environment. The
kindergartens provide the students with an introduction to formal instruction
and an opportunity to learn, explore and develop their abilities.
