HTIS welcomes Fr. Michael Saporito to our school community as Pastor of
St. Helen’s Fr. Michael Saporito was ordained on May 30, 1992. He was
born in Newark and raised in nearby Bloomfield. He has one sister, two
brothers, and five nieces. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in
accounting at Rutgers University, Fr. Michael worked as an auditor for a New
Jersey accounting firm. Fr. Michael served as a parochial vicar at St.
Joseph’s Church in West Orange, St. Peter’s in River Edge, Our Lady of the
Visitation Church in Paramus, and St. Elizabeth’s in Wyckoff, and has served
as pastor at St. Joseph’s Church in Maplewood from May 2004 to January 2011
before coming to Westfield. We are happy to have Fr. Saporito join us in
faith and service.
