What is Scrip?
Scrip is an easy way to shop online for gift cards from
national & local retailers and restaurants. More
importantly, when you purchase gift cards for personal or
gift use you are returning an average of 8% of the face
value of the cards back to our school.
Why do we do this?
The Scrip program helps HSA raise thousands of dollars
for the school each year. In 2008-09 we raised nearly $3,000
with only a small percentage of families participating.
How do I order?
You can order either online or via school mail.
Registering
online is easy and gives access to the
most updated vendor list. We
will continue to provide
an off-line order form
listing the most frequently ordered retailers, if that
works better for you. Your order will be processed
electronically by Colleen Coffey, this year's program
coordinator, once payment by check is received through
school mail. Make checks payable to: HTIS SCRIP and send with the
completed form via school mail to "Tara Coffey – 6A."
When do I order?
Order by the first Friday of each month and
two weeks later the cards will be distributed. See schedule
at right.
Is SCRIP different than the Food Voucher Program?
Scrip is a completely voluntary fundraiser that does not
replace the Food Voucher Program. Scrip is an easy way for
our families to purchase cards from retailers at which they
already shop or dine, in order to raise money for school.
How can I get more help?
If you have any questions please email the 2009-10
coordinator Colleen
Coffey.
