Hearth & Home Kitchen Tour Ticket Orders Now Being Taken

Westfield known for its many beautiful homes, both old and new, of myriad styles. The Hearth and Home Kitchen Tour, back this year after a phenomenal turn-out last year, will give the public a chance to see a half-dozen of these homes from the inside. The self-guided tour is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be cuisine to sample from local chefs and bakers; the homes' contractors and designers on hand to discuss ideas; raffle items at one of the houses; and gift bags for the first 450 guests.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $35 by check to: HTIS HSA, 336 First Avenue, Westfield, N.J., or credit card. Advance sales must be purchased online or postmarked by Friday, Oct. 9. Tickets can be purchased at any house on the day of the event for $40. Questions can be addressed to: hearthandhomekitchentour@comcast.net.
 

Technology Investment
Because of budget cuts by the State of New Jersey, the school's technology resources have been reduced. However, there continues to be many items that can use updating on both campuses. In particular, we are looking for:

• Recent generation laptops to share between classes

• DVD players for many classrooms in both campuses

• Printers for Mountainside classrooms

• New or near new desktop computers for the upper grades in Westfield

• Flat screen monitors

There are also some software needs for anti-virus and Microsoft software so we are collecting monetary contributions towards their purchase.
